KEVIN MOORE

This essay calls for a reconsideration of the issue of form in photography. In a period where the readings and values assigned to Modernist and abstract photography are experiencing a dramatic shift, Moore asks us to re-think the actual relationship of form and subject in photography and photographic criticism in the mid 20th century as well as extrapolate its currency in contemporary photography.
