Projections: Words Without Pictures

In celebration of the launch of the book Words Without Pictures this event examines the current state of the photograph in contemporary art and culture. Seattle artists David Hartt, Margot Quan Knight, and Vesna Pavlovic will join Alex Klein, artist and Ralph M. Parsons Curatorial Fellow in the Wallis Annenberg Photography Department at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to discuss some of the challenges and developments the medium faces in the digital age. Each artist will make a short presentation on the key conceptual, formal, or procedural challenges in their work. A discussion moderated by Klein and Henry Associate Curator Sara Krajewski will follow.


The book will be available for purchase at the special discount price of $25 plus tax.
